Dr. Pinto earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology from the University of North Dakota, an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited program. She also obtained a Master of Science in Psychology from Villanova University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Art from the College of St. Catherine.

Dr. Pinto completed an APA-accredited Pre-Doctoral internship at the Regional Mental Health Center in Merrillville, Indiana. Here, she provided individual and family therapy to clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, day programming for clients with severe mental illness, and group therapy for clients within the substance abuse programs. She has conducted psychological assessments for the diagnostic clarification of ADHD and mood disorders.

Dr. Pinto has an interest in helping adults manage their generalized and social anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), relationship issues, workplace and parenting stress, low self-esteem, and challenging life transitions. To facilitate change, Dr. Pinto integrates short-term psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and mindfulness approaches. She integrates emotion-focused and Gottman-Method techniques in couples therapy.

Having lived overseas, Dr. Pinto enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences. She enjoys collaborating with other providers in order to provide more integrated care for her clients.
