Dr. Jeremy Kozne
Jeremy Kozne, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Jeremy Kozne earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Diversity and Community Mental Health from the APA-accredited program at Palo Alto University, Palo Alto, California. He obtained his Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the same school and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Biola University.
Dr. Kozne completed an APA-accredited Pre-Doctoral internship at Denver Health, a hospital in the heart of Denver, Colorado. During his internship, Dr. Kozne worked with diverse, and often under served, members of the community. He provided individual therapy, group therapy, administered neuropsychological evaluations, and served as a member of an integrated inpatient psychiatric care team. Throughout his training, Dr. Kozne has worked in a variety of settings including: university counseling centers, community mental health centers, and psychiatric hospitals.
Dr. Kozne is a warm and directive clinician. To meet client needs, Dr. Kozne tailors therapy to the specific needs of each individual. In order to facilitate change, he integrates a variety of evidenced-based therapy modalities in his work including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Short-Term Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Mindfulness Strategies. In his work with couples, he utilizes the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, as well as other strategies to help couples achieve treatment goals. Furthermore, Dr. Kozne has completed training in Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) to assist clients who have loved ones that struggle with addiction issues.
Dr. Kozne has particular interest in helping adults with: anxiety, depression, motivation issues, gender identity and sexuality exploration, grief and loss, interpersonal difficulties, challenging or confusing life transitions, and stress management. He welcomes clients of all backgrounds and approaches his work with humility and understands that each individual is an expert of their unique life experience.
