Dr. Scott earned a Doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park, an American Psychological Association (APA) and National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) accredited program. She earned a master’s degree in School Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in behavioral neuroscience from Andrews University.

Dr. Scott completed an APA-accredited predoctoral Health Service Psychology internship at Loudoun County Public Schools. She has a strong foundation in school-related services, including psycho-educational evaluations, parent and school-based consultations. She helps children and families navigate the impact of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression on children’s school and home functioning. Dr. Scott has completed a practicum training experience at Children’s National Hospital, where she gained experience in neuropsychological evaluations, concussion management, and therapeutic services for children.

Dr. Scott specializes in treating children, adolescents, and their families. Her specific areas of interest include anxiety-based disorders, perfectionism, school avoidance, executive functioning challenges, and adjustment-related distress. She also values collaboration with individuals across school and home settings to best support students’ well-being. Dr. Scott uses cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to provide personalized care to children, adolescents, and their families. She is a culturally-responsive practitioner with an open, warm, person-centered approach that puts her clients at ease. She views therapy as a collaborative process and provides her clients with concrete tools and strategies that foster positive change.
