Group therapy involves 1-2 trained leaders and anywhere between 4-15 participants. Typically, groups meet for 1-2 hours per week and they can vary in session length, with most groups averaging between 60 and 90 minutes.
Some groups are designed to target a specific problem, such as depression, anxiety, attention deficits, anger, grief/loss, trauma, or life adjustments (divorce, separation, job/career changes). In addition, some groups are developed to help individuals share and process difficult emotions.
