Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Feldman earned his master’s and doctorate in clinical psychology from the PGSP–Stanford PsyD Consortium, an APA-accredited program, where his dissertation examined the role of the therapeutic alliance in couples therapy. He holds a BA in psychology from Yale University.
He has worked in diverse outpatient settings, including community mental health centers, Veterans Affairs hospitals, educational and job training programs, and college counseling centers.
Dr. Feldman’s therapeutic style is warm, relational, and collaborative. He strives to create an emotionally safe environment where clients feel deeply understood and supported, enabling them to take meaningful risks and explore parts of themselves that may be difficult to access. His work is rooted in attachment-based psychodynamic therapy, helping clients understand how early relationships shape emotions, self-concept, and current patterns. He often incorporates experiential techniques to help clients safely engage with feelings, thoughts, and interactions they might otherwise avoid.
To meet each client’s unique needs, Dr. Feldman also integrates elements of Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. In his work with couples, he draws from the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy (GMCT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), with a strong emphasis on attachment.
Dr. Feldman works with young adults, adults, and couples. He has extensive experience addressing attachment trauma, childhood abuse, anxiety, substance use, and internet/pornography addiction. His clinical interests also include grief and loss, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
