Dr. Megan Runion holds both a Doctorate and Master’s degree in School Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University, an APA- and NASP-accredited program. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Runion has worked as a school psychologist in Northern Virginia for over six years, specializing in supporting children, adolescents, teens, and young adults.

Known for her calm, compassionate presence, Dr. Runion places strong emphasis on building a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, communication and interpersonal skills, grief and loss, neurodiversity, life transitions, and adjustment-related challenges. She is particularly passionate about empowering clients with self-advocacy skills to support long-term well-being.

Dr. Runion values interdisciplinary collaboration and enjoys working with fellow clinicians to ensure integrated care. She is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and is currently working toward clinical licensure in Virginia under supervision.
